Cornell University's Civic Ecology Lab announces an online course offered through EECapacity, the EPA-funded national environmental education program. This 12-week, non-credit professional development course will cover novel practices and conceptual frameworks of urban environmental education. Limited to 20 participants.

Invited visionary leaders of the school ground movement from Canada, England, Germany, Japan, and Sweden will share their experiences, case studies, and best practices at this first-ever International Green Schoolyard Conference in the United States. Learn about cutting-edge schoolyards and school gardens, network with colleagues from around the world, tour model local school grounds, and get inspired to bring these ideas back to your own community.

The Goldman Environmental Prize is the largest cash award given to grassroots environmental leaders around the world. Each year, a leader from each of 6 continents is selected to receive this honor for the outstanding work they have done protect threatened ecosystems or species. Each year, the organizers of this event invite students to come down to San Francisco's War Memorial Opera house to be a part of the excitement and come away inspired by the tremendous work that grassroots leaders are doing across the world.
